Fermented foods have a rich tradition and are powerful gut healers. They are packed with probiotics and powerful anti-oxidants to keep you looking and feeling your best while helping to preserve the best of the seasonal vegetables.
Join in and get hands-on in the kitchen, preparing both traditional and modern ferments including sauerkraut, ginger carrots and more. You will be able to ferment most vegetables available at your local markets. We will explore a variety of fermented foods, the process and the history of fermentation together, with some samples for tasting of course.
All participants will take home recipes and 2 jars of their own homemade ferments.
